How to Reset Acer BIOS, eRecovery and Windows Passwords - Acer Password Recovery

If you've forgotten your Acer BIOS password, lost your Acer eRecovery password, or are otherwise locked out of your Acer computer, there are a few ways to reset your passwords and get back into your system. In this article, we'll show you how to reset your Acer BIOS password, Acer eRecovery password, and your Windows password.

Acer BIOS Password

If you've forgotten your Acer BIOS password, there are a few ways to reset it. The first way is to use the "Clear CMOS" jumper on the motherboard. This jumper is usually located near the battery, and the location will be different depending on the model of your motherboard. Consult your motherboard manual to find the exact location.

To use the "Clear CMOS" jumper, first power off your computer and unplug all cables. Next, locate the "Clear CMOS" jumper and remove the jumper cap from the two pins. Leave the jumper in this position for about 10 seconds, then replace the jumper cap and power on your computer. Your BIOS password should now be reset.

To use Kon-Boot, first download the software and burn it to a CD or USB drive. Then, boot your computer from the CD or USB drive. Kon-Boot will bypass the Windows login screen and allow you to log into Windows without a password.

Once you're logged in, you can change your password by going to the Control Panel and clicking on "User Accounts." From here, you can create a new password for your account.

If you still can't reset your password, you'll need to reinstall Windows. This will erase all of your personal files, so be sure to back up anything you want to keep before proceeding.

To reinstall Windows, insert your Windows installation disc and boot from it. Follow the prompts to reinstall Windows. During the installation process, you'll be asked if you want to keep your personal files or not. Choose "No" to erase your personal files.
